On the other hand, a laptop computer is a type of portable computer that is generally bigger and heavier than a notebook computer. it only has 2-3 hours of battery life and it features a 14-17 inch widescreen TFT display. the good thing about laptop compared to notebook is that it comes with an internal DVD-ROM or DVD-RW driver, so you do not need to purchase an external driver to play your movie DVDs. furthermore, a laptop is also upgradeable. you can easily replace your old RAM card with a new and better one to improve the performance of your laptop.

These days, you can even buy a netbook computer. A netbook is much smaller and lighter than a notebook and laptop. the battery can last up to 8 hours and it comes with a 8-10 inch screen. since it is equipped with a less powerful processor, you can’t really use a netbook computer for multitasking or for entertainment purposes. it generally doesn’t come with an internal or external DVD driver, so you will need to purchase a separate external unit. this portable computer is recommended for those who are always on the go and need access to a computer frequently.
