Che Fu and Alan Bell take OutPlayStationVita Vodafone CharityChallengeAuckland, Thursday 12th July 2012:After a pitting their gaming skills against some ofthe nation’s best-known sports names, musicians and media,Che Fu (musician) and Alan Bell (NZ Gamer editor) have beennamed the winners of the PlayStationVita Vodafone CharityChallenge.

Che and Alan were up against three rivalteams (Manu Vatuvei and John Lai, Ben Matulino and SiobahanKeogh, and Thomas Abercrombie and Gerard Campbell) yesterdayin an ‘Amazing Race’ style contest that played out atAuckland’s Viaduct. each team had to carry out a series ofchallenges featuring a range of thePlayStation®Vita(PS®Vita) games and 3G enabled socialapplications including you Tube, Facebook, Twitter andSkype.

After an intense competition and fiercerivalry, Che and Alan came out on top. they took home notonly bragging rights but also a $1,000 cheque for theirchosen charity, Canteen which supports young people livingwith cancer.

“I’m really chuffed to take out thePlayStationVita Vodafone Charity Challenge. Racing roundthe Viaduct doing tasks like playing the augmented realitygame, Reality Fighters, was awesome. it was really cool thatwe could use the Vodafone 3G connection and social apps toget clues and give people live updates on Twitter andFacebook about what we were doing” says Che Fu.
