DEARBORNLicense plate liftedA man reported his car license plate stolen July 4. he had been shopping at Walmart, 5851 Mercury, at about 3 p.m., and when he returned to his vehicle the plate was gone.the man did not have his vehicle information, but told police it was a 2010 Mercedes-Benz. there were no witnesses, and police have named no suspects.

Phone chargers taken from unlocked carTwo phone chargers were stolen July 7 from an unlocked car on Woodworth two blocks south of Michigan Avenue.between 12:30-5 a.m., the owner reported, someone entered his 2007 Pontiac G6 and took the goods. the car was parked in the driveway in his backyard.Burglar makes off with business computerAn HP computer was taken July 6 during a burglary of Avida Productions, 13916 Michigan Ave., on July 6.An officer responding to a burglar alarm about noon found the building’s back door open but no one inside. after the owner arrived, he initially told police nothing was missing. after watching security camera footage, though, he saw that a man had entered through the front door, which the owner thought had possibly been left open the previous day.
